| Eligibility requirements
Skilled (Independent) visa
To apply for this visa you must meet the following criteria:
1. aged between 18 and 45
2. have good English skills
3. have recent work experience in the relevant skills area
AND/OR
4. have recently completed an eligible Australian qualification
Independent visa applicants must also meet the pass mark of a points based test.
Skilled (Sponsored) visa
Applicants for the skilled (sponsored) visa are required to satisfy the following criteria:
1. aged between 18 and 45
2. have good English skills
3. have recent work experience in a skills area listed on Australia’s Skill Occupation List.
AND/OR
4. have recently completed an eligible Australian qualification
A points based test is NOT required, however the applicant may be required to pay a bond, and sign certain undertakings.
Entitlements
1. Right to work in any field of employment (including outside your skills area)
2. Entitlements to Australia’s public healthcare system (Medicare)
3. Social Security payments (following a 2 year waiting period) |
